YouTube “How-to & Style” Category

Let’s take a look at what’s currently showing under the How-to & Style category of YouTube: Demonstrations on the proper wearing of religious garments (see youtube.com/watch?v=AlkB4MRPD64), announcements of newly launched makeup stores (see youtube.com/watch?v=P4xrQiW2PXQ), instructions on incorporating social media links within a YouTube channel (youtube.com/watch?v=1sPuScPRPs8)…basically anything and everything. There’s nothing wrong with any of this content except that it’s been categorized with a catch-all label that doesn’t really define the content itself and therefore helps barely at all in the process of search (which is in all practicality a process of getting found).

Yet, still the category remains somewhat popular and apparently useful, since some YouTube’s top producers reside within that category (vidstatsx.com/youtube-top-100-most-subscribed-how-to-style-channels).
